Body Benefits

Body Benefits is a 12 week programme where like-minded people come together once a week to discuss and learn how to achieve a healthy weight with a team of professionals.

The session is typically split in two, with part one focused on a specific topic, and part two centred on introducing different forms of entry level exercise, to help people get a flavour for different ways to be physically active - in the hope that everybody will find something they enjoy and can continue as part of a healthy lifestyle.

Some examples of the types of topics on the table include food labels, portion size, snack swaps and a deeper understanding of sugar, fat and salt.

Body Benefits is a free programme with eligibility criteria. You must be a resident in North Tyneside, have a BMI between 27.5 and 35*.
