There are plenty of ways to pick up a racket and get on court at North Tyneside.

We are now offering a wide range of free programmes or the option to book yourself a court. To make a booking, click on the location below:

Ways to play:

Cardio tennis:

A fun and sociable group fitness class with a tennis twist. An energetic tennis workout suitable for people of all ages and abilities. Join in at Richardson Dees Park and Souter Park for year-round sessions. Sessions are free of charge.

Family Tennis:

Bring your whole family and join the Active North Tyneside coaching team for a fantastic tennis session. Sessions are free of charge.

Walking Tennis:

Stay active and have fun with safe and inclusive walking tennis which is open to anyone including beginners - it’s a sociable and supportive session. Playing tennis at any age is beneficial, and walking offers an effortless way to keep the body and mind active. Sessions are free of charge.

Tennis For Free:

As part of a national initiative, ‘Tennis For Free’ is a charitable organisation and in partnership with NET 360 CIC provides inclusive tennis sessions for people of all ages and abilities. The programme targets those most in need.

Tennis For Free wellbeing sessions:

An opportunity to learn more about other Active North Tyneside projects and the community groups we work with specifically designed for individuals struggling with their mental health. The sessions are held in partnership with Tennis for Free and NET 360 CIC.
