Postnatal Power

Fridays, The Parks Sport Centre (the Pine Hall room), 6.15-7.15pm

Please arrive 15 minutes early for your first session.

A session combining cardio exercises, strength training and pilates, for new mams to sweat, stretch and socialise. The sessions are led by qualified instructors, allowing women to be physically active throughout their postnatal journey.

These sessions are suitable for new mams and their babies (up to 18-months). You must be a resident of North Tyneside and have a valid easecard. Clearance to begin exercise from your 6–8-week GP check up is required. Please come in comfortable clothing and footwear. You may attend this session with or without baby. However, for safety reasons, babies must be in prams, car seats or carriers, no slings allowed.

Spaces in sessions are limited to 17 people, so you are advised to book in advance. You will need to reserve a space each week and spaces are available on a first come first serve basis. You need to register for the programme. Once you are registered you can book via The Parks.

*Sessions at North Tyneside leisure centres require participants to scan their easecard at reception upon arrival and hand the receipt to the instructor.
