Sign up to the 2022 Swimathon

The Swimathon is back at Hadrian Leisure Centre for 2022!

Taking place on Sunday 27 November, the aim of the game is to swim one mile in one hour and raise much needed funds for Acorns, a charity dedicated to supporting families affected by domestic abuse in North Tyneside and Northumberland.

You can enter as an individual, or as a team of up to four. One mile is equal to 64 lengths of the pool, are you up to the challenge?

There are three time slots available, you will be allocated a time when you submit your application:

• 2.30pm - 3.30pm

• 3.45pm - 4.45pm

• 5pm - 6pm

There are prizes up for grabs too, with recognition for the fastest individual mile, the most lengths in an hour and the fastest average mile for a team.

The deadline for entries is 5pm on Sunday 13 November and spaces are limited so make sure you complete your application form fast. Applications can be found here until the day of the event.

Entry fees (payable when handing in application):

• Adults £8

• Juniors £7

Participants are encouraged to collect sponsorship for taking part in the event to be donated directly to Acorns here.

All participants will receive a Swimathon t-shirt for taking part.
