Supporting the Mental Health of North Tyneside Council employees

The Active North Tyneside team from North Tyneside Council are celebrating after gaining their Level 2 Award in Mental Health Awareness - studied with nationally renowned fitness education course provider Study Active.

The decision to undertake the training was informed by the need for the team to have a foundation awareness of mental health and be able to signpost colleagues, if required, to find the correct information and support.

The course covered two core modules that looked at Mental Health Awareness and Mental Health First Aid, including topics on depression, anxiety, eating disorders and bereavement.

E-learning, e-manuals and a team of tutors supported them with their learning journey. E-assessments were completed by each person after they undertook their studying.

Congratulations go to all of the team who signed up and who all successfully passed the assessments with flying colours and are now qualified in Mental Health Awareness.

Study Active Managing Director, James Luscombe, was full of praise for the team, “It was an absolute pleasure to have the team from Active North Tyneside study their Mental Health Awareness qualification with us. We are really pleased they are now qualified and in a position to support others in the workplace and beyond”.

The team will now be able to make an impact in the workplace, looking after others mental health and wellbeing.
